·    The project coordinators got into first contact

·    The project coordinators made preparations to announce the approval of the project to the school and the local community

·    The project coordinators, the teachers and the students involved in the plan, the time schedule and  decided on the future activities in their school

·    Integrating the project into the curriculum

Getting to know each other

 

·    Getting to know participating schools

·    The students got into email contact with each other

·    Each school sent general information about their school, city and country to the partner schools

·    Students prepared and sent a “surprise welcome box”

·    The students created a project information board to exhibit all the related materials about the project and countries.

·    The students informed the local community about the project, e.g.; sending an article to the local newspaper, publishing news on the school web page, sending information to the parents etc.

Organisation of the 1st Meeting in Belgium “Getting to know the environment we will work in“

 

Teachers and students of the hosting institution prepared everything to welcome their guests

·    informed parents and teachers about the meeting

·    organised host families

·    booked hotel rooms

·    made a schedule for the meeting

·    organised all activities for the meeting in school

·    prepared a program to show the guests the school and the city

Finding Solutions about environmental problems and start to act

 

·    Students organised a “brainstorming” chat during which they aimed to find solutions to local environmental problems they had defined

·    They set up a blog/forum/platform to continue discussing the possible solutions to the local environmental problems.

·    Students tried to put the solutions they have found into practice

·    Each school decided on the way which would best suit their needs

·    All attempts were recorded on video or photographed

·    Information concerning the results of their attempts was put on the project website

Preparing for the 3rd project meeting in Austria “Take action for the environment!”

 

Preparing for the 3rd project meeting in Austria the students

·    creating a banner and poster with a slogan which promoted their solutions to environmental problems

·    preparing a set of questions about the ecological problems and solutions: These questions were part of the common computer quiz which ,at the end of the project, showed the work and progress of the whole project

·    preparing a stand to show effective implementation of their countries’ solutions to environmental problems.

·    the best posters and banners were selected

·    the questions which students had prepared were pooled together and the new computer quiz was played to check each group’s awareness of the whole issue

·    the students put up the stand with their countries’ solutions to environmental problems.

·    create a presentation which would promote their touristic region

·    prepare sustainable trip to the environment friendly power station inside the Zar Mountain

·    organise planting an oak tree by the school

·    prepare collecting garbage on the mountain route
